I appreciate how you share honestly and with a wonderful voice. Hearing about a writer's background and how they got to present day here on Substack is very inspiring plus encouraging. You write beautifully too!
Making art is my comfort zone but once I strip off that outfit, the words can want to run away to protect me. I started my first Substack blog a short while ago and trying to find the directions to spread my creative wings plus the self confidence to be brave in my writing.
I look forward to reading more about you and the words of wisdom that will appear.
Coco thank you so much for your kind words! It fills my heart 💓 I know that feeling of words wanting to run away--and the confidence game is real. I find writing much like lifting weights, though -- repetition makes us stronger 💪
Btw your Substack posts and art make me smile!! I love what you are sharing. Plus the pics of doggo’s and views from your home ❤️ what a treat! 🌈 Thank you for spreading rainbows!
Courtney, I appreciate your supportive feedback and comments. My hope is to share colorful joy through my art, photos, and writing. Enjoy your day and happy writing!
This resonates with me on many levels. I had a career in product development, was told I would be good as a UX designer (but haven’t formally pursued it), changed careers, started and closed a business, changed careers again. I realized the common thread in my life was writing and when I started my Substack it was to keep one of my favorite parts of my business going and to build on something everyone personally and professionally tells me I am good at ~ the writing. And it was okay to just see this as a creative outlet. I also I finding my best writing time is with my morning coffee. My ideas are much bigger than my output, so I am also trying to work on that. Unwritten ideas are best written. Yay us ~ keep going. [here because I also follow @decor8 ]. 👊🏻
Thank you so much for sharing this! And “my ideas are much bigger than my output” — well said. I think we all feel this sometimes. But what a treat to get them written down! Yay us indeed! 🙌🎉❤️
